Located in Aurora, Pacifica Square, a newly developed Asian-centric Shopping Center by Windfall Group, will celebrate the grand opening of Park to Shop Supermarket Food Court on October 1st, which is also the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, also called Moon Festival, the second grandest festival in China after Chinese New Year. It is a reunion time for families, just like Thanksgiving. This year, COVID-19 has brought about unprecedented changes in many of our lives. The celebration will be held outside of Park to Shop, one of the biggest anchors in Pacifica Square. Starting at 4:30pm, a variety of high-quality programs with limited performers, the programs include lion dance, singing, folk dance, and children fashion show. The celebration will be livestream on social media to bring the festival all around the world.
Mooncake, is not only the symbol of the festival, it is also a highlight of the traditional celebrations. Every walk-in customer will get a piece of mooncake as the taste of the festival. Food court has a diverse collection of Asian cuisine and bakery. The tenants will hand out their signature gourmet for sample tasting. The event will follow the guidance from the Restore Illinois Plan. There will be temperature check at the entry, face covering will be required and social distancing will be maintained.
